  • Aqueous environmental geochemistry of contaminants, in particular of the actinides and fission products
  • Mineral-water interfaces and interfacial reactions with (radioactive) contaminants
  • Application of spectroscopy, in particular ATR FT-IR spectroscopy for in-situ probing the molecular environment of aqueous solutions, surfaces and interfaces
  • Safety of nuclear waste repositories
