Am 3. Juli 2013 hat Oberbürgermeisterin Helma Orosz gemeinsam mit dem Sächsischen Innenminister Markus Ulbig und dem Kanzler der TU Dresden und Vorstandsmitglied von DRESDEN-concept Wolf-Eckhard Wormser das neue Welcome Center der Landeshauptstadt Dresden eröffnet.

The Dresden Science Calendar, presenting more than 200 events of more than 50 scientific institutions, is now available as a mobile app. The scheduler for smartphones displays all public academic lectures, conferences and events of research facilities in Dresden and its surrounding areas, and thus supports interdisciplinary research.
One year of excellence at TU Dresden

A year ago, the TU Dresden was identified as a “university of excellence”. This is the summary of the Rector of the TU Dresden, Prof. Hans Müller-Steinhagen: “That this TU Dresden was identified as a “university of excellence” last year is a recognition both of our achievements so far and our challenges for the future. These are challenges that we set ourselves eagerly. The implementation of our Institutional Strategy is in full flow and we are already pleased to see the first successes. However, the bulk of the work still lies ahead of us, and we will use the period until 2017 to demonstrate that we were rightly awarded this seal of excellence.”
DRESDEN-concept e.V. supports the Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform application

The Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform (BioDIP) is a multi-institutional community of core light and electron microscopy facilities on the Biopolis Dresden campus. BioDIP’s ambition to stimulate the research landscape on the Dresden Campus by offering open access to cutting-edge imaging infrastructure perfectly matches the goals of the DRESDEN-concept e.V. aiming at the development and use of synergies in research, infrastructure, and administration. This is why the BioDIP has been included into the project list of DRESDEN-concept.
