PhD Student (f/m/d) Therapeutic potential of magnetic field stimulation

At the Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research scientists (f/m/d) from the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, pharmacy, immunology, medicine and IT develop innovative radiopharmaceuticals and novel tools for functional characterization, improved imaging and personalized treatment of tumors.

The Department of Radiopharmaceutical and Chemical Biology is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) Therapeutic potential of magnetic field stimulation. 

Your tasks

  • 2D and 3D cultivation of human cells
  • Magnetic field stimulation of cell cultures
  • Cell biological and biochemical studies in vitro
  • (Radio)pharmacological studies in vitro
  • Data analysis
  • Presentation of scientific results in scientific publications and at conferences

Your profile

  • Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of Biochemistry, biology, biophysics or related field
  • Basic knowledge in the fields of cell biology and biochemistry
  • Experience and knowledge in the fields of cytological, (bio)chemical and histological analyses
  • Basic knowledge of experimental physics
  • Willingness to work in controlled areas and handle open radionuclides
  • Willingness to work scientifically in an interdisciplinary team
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English; good knowledge of German is an advantage
