Selected measurement techniques and sensor systems

Experiments in multiphase flows require dedicated measurement techniques, which are often not commercially available. We have a long tradition in the development of special multiphase flow sensor and imaging techniques for in-detail flow analyses, with a focus on measurement with high resolution in space and time. Recently pioneered imaging techniques are the wire-mesh sensor, X-ray and gamma ray tomography as well as fast local probes for phase fraction, temperatures and velocities, which withstand aggressive process environments and high pressures and temperatures. Some of the techniques could be developed until marketability.
