Current Research Interests

  • Development of potential 18F labelled radiotracers for molecular imaging of various brain diseases and disorders by positron emission tomography
  • Radiochemical syntheses of novel brain ligands using different labelling techniques (direct 18F labelling via precursors, 18F labelling via prosthetic groups)
  • In-vitro and in-vivo examination of radiotracers and investigation of their bio-distribution and metabolites


Ongoing Projects

  • Development of new 18F labelled ligands for nicotinic acetyl-choline receptor (nAChR), for the vesicular acetylcholine transporter (VAChT), for Sigma-1 and for GABAA- receptors
