PZC=0.5(pK1+pK2) (clay mineral edges); calculation of SSD using SSA and suggested value 2.31sites/nm^2 [DK90] gave values 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than values obtained from experimentally measured maximum anion adsorption (As(V)+P adsorbed at the pH of maximum adsorption) in the binary As(V)/P systems, these values more connsistent with edge surface areas than with BET-N2 areas |
