School Lab DeltaX To inspire young students early for the natural sciences, the HZDR has set up a school laboratory. The school lab DeltaX has opened its doors for students grade 7 - 12. We also offer further education for teachers. More	PhD students We attach great importance to the education and training of qualified young staff. Currently, there are more than 160 Ph.D. students working with us. The programs offered by the HZDR are in close collaboration with Saxon universities - especially with the Technische Universität Dresden. More
International Helmholtz Research School NanoNet The International Helmholtz Research School NanoNet is a structured doctoral program promoting the education of the next generation of scientists in molecular electronics. The program is an initiative of the HZDR in a joint collaboration with the TU Dresden, Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing, and NaMLab gGmbH. More	Students & Graduates Due to its modern and unique research facilities the HZDR offers first-class conditions for practical training periods and dissertations. The eight institutes are engaged in interdisciplinary research within all natural-scientific fields as well as in medicine and pharmacology. Furthermore, studies in the engineering field and information science are also possible. More
Junior Research Groups The Helmholtz Association and the HZDR attach great importance to an excellent promotion of young scientists. Young scientists will be the leading minds of tomorrow, but they are making already a vital contribution towards the research results at the Helmholtz centers today. Vocational Training We are currently training more than 40 trainees in thirteen professions. Our trainees are taught by highly motivated and qualified instructors. 2012 we gained once again the predicate "excellent training company". The initiative pursues the objective of promoting and supporting talented young scientists at an early stage of their careers. More
