Travel Information

From Dresden-Airport:
- Except Saturday and Sunday, there is almost every hour a direct train (S-Bahn) connection from Dresden-Airport to Pirna (duration 46 min). On Saturdays and Sundays one has to switch the train at Dresden Hauptbahnhof (then, total duration 67 min).
- The hotel "Bastei" provides a shuttle service from Pirna mainstation to the Hotel Bastei (~20 min, 12 Euro for one person, 6 Euro if share the shuttle). This service is on request only. Please inform the hotel reception in advance.
- Alternatively you can use a taxi from Pirna mainstation to Hotel Bastai in Rathen (distance 13 km, cost around 20 Euro).
Alternative Route (interesting landscapes):
- Starting from Dresden-Airport, take S-Bahn to Kurort Rathen with a change at Dresden Hauptbahnhof (duration 1 h 19 min).
- Use a ferry to cross the river Elbe (see the map).
- Walk up the hill (about 170 m high) until you will rich Hotel Bastei.
