Thermo- /Fluiddynamic Properties for Liquid Metal Batteries (Id 104)
No current offer!
In contrast to conventional batteries, Liquid Metal Batteries feature all liquid anodes anodes (alkaline or alkaline earth metal), cathodes (transition metal or metal) and electrolytes (molten salts) at a temperature between 400 °C and 600 °C.
To simulate internal flow and the general thermochemical performance of the batteries, a couple of fluid properties like density, viscosity and heat capacity are needed for each of the cell material. The task is to collect the data (literature research), to arrange them in a database and to program functions in Python for the further use in simulations.
It is possible to continue the work on the topic in form of a project work or a final thesis.
