Development of control and regulation concepts as well as sensors for inline-fluid separation (Id 238)

No current offer!

Inline fluid separators separate fluids of different density within a flow channel by centrifugal forces. This is investigated in our group of multiphase flow of air / water mixtures. The separation quality is to be improved by an advanced sensor and control and regulation concept. To this end, image data from grating sensors upstream and downstream are to be processed quickly and the gas evacuation by model predictive control. To solve this task, which is embedded in a larger EU project, we offer the following cooperation possibilities and topics:

  • Development and validation of a control concept (implementation of the controller structure in MATLAB / SIMULINK, software tests)
  • Participation in the further development and testing of imaging sensors for multiphase flows
  • Tasks in image processing and image data analysis
