Extension of a open-source workflow engine for reproducible and scalable science (Id 368)

No current offer!

For machine learning, data science and simulations, HZDR uses an open-source workflow engine to orchestrate predefined pipelines on HPC infrastructures. These pipelines run mathematical reconstructions, computational fluid dynamics simulations or machine learning model training.

While all of the above can be considered state of the art, composing such workflows in a scalable and yet reproducible fashion remains a challenge. To mitigate this challenge, we like to use open-source workflow engines (like snakemake) to provide a platform for such projects. As these communities are driven by volunteers, we would like to support work on these engines by adding features to support our science case. This is what we need your help for!
