I work within the Work Package Froth Flotation (WP7) of the EU Project Optimore (Horizon 2020) since 01/06/2015. The project is focused on increasing yield on Tungsten and Tantalum ore production by means of advanced and flexible control on crushing, milling and separation process. My main objective is to be able to model froth flotation more accurately in order to improve its process control.
I simultaneously work on my PhD, titled "Selective flotation of scheelite from other calcium-bearing minerals and modelling of its performance using SEM-based quantitative mineralogy".
I studied mining geology at the Institut Polytechnique de LaSalle Beauvais (France) and wrote my Master thesis on introducing mineralogical techniques in froth flotation to optimize the lab testing procedure of Clariant Mining Solutions. I then worked for the BGR (German federal institute for geosciences and natural resources) on the subject of certification of raw materials (3Ts and gold) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
