The AI Lab seminar concluded before the summer break with an inspiring talk by Aldino Rizaldy (HIF). On July 7th, Aldino spoke to around 20 interested attendees at Oncoray about Foundational Models in Earth Observation. This work is part of the 3D-ABC project, which is staffed jointly by the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg (HIF) and the Central Division for Digital Infrastructure and Computing. 3D-ABC uses AI to explore the carbon cycle on the Earth’s surface. Insights from this research help to better understand the effects of human-induced climate change.
