5thInternational Workshop on
Advanced Techniques in Actinide Spectrscopy - ATAS 2020
October 26th - 29th, 2020, Dublin, Ireland
ATAS 2020 will be postponed to 2022. Details will follow as soon as possible.
About the workshop
Starting in Dresden, Germany, back in November 2012, ATAS workshop series focuses on recent advances in actinide chemistry exclusively from spectroscopic and theoretical point of views. The workshop covers vibrational spectroscopy, laser–induced spectroscopy (luminescence and photoacoustic), X–ray based techniques (XAS, XPS), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometries (AMS, ESIMS), and molecular simulations (QC, MD). Initial two events were held in Dresden, after which the workshop moved its venue to Richland, U.S.A. (2016) and to Nice, France (2018).
During the past events, an international round–robin test on actinide spectroscopy was initiated. The outcome was recently published in an open access journal ACS Omega 2019, 4, 8167-8177 (DOI: 10.1021/acsomega.9b00164).
- The number of participants is limited to 80.
- All participants are encouraged to bring their scientific contributions.
- All disciplines of spectroscopy and computer chemistry associated to actinide and/or lanthanide science are highly welcome.
