Cutting-edge research for the circular economy on 1,100 square meters
In our Process Metallurgy Pilot Plant, put into operation in 2021, research results from the extraction and recovery of economically strategic metals will be brought from the laboratory to practical maturity. This will be done at a high scientific and technical level and in close cooperation with partners from science and industry.
Sustainability in the circular economy is moving into focus at the Pilot Plant: simulation models developed for the quantitative evaluation of the material and energy consumption of technologies and products are to be tested in a practical manner. That allows us to assess the industrial feasibility and economic viability of innovative technology concepts or the sustainability of new product designs at an early stage of development.
