Welcome at the User Facilities of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf
The Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) operates several research infrastructures most of which are accessible to external users. About 50 % of the available beam or magnet time is allotted to external users.
ELBE – Center for High-Power Radiation SourcesThe radiation source ELBE provides an electron beam of high brilliance and low emittance. This primary beam can generate various kinds of electromagnetic radiation and particle beams, which also are available for experiments. Twice per year users are invited to apply for beamtime at ELBE. Dresden High Magnetic Field LaboratoryThe Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory (HLD) offers pulsed highest magnetic fields (European record with 94.2 tesla) and excellent experimental facilities for materials research. HLD is part of the European Magnetic Field Laboratory (EMFL). Applications for magnet time are evaluated within this cooperation.
