2nd International Alumni Week in September 2023
2nd International Alumni Week in September 2023
HZDR alumni as ambassadors for worldwide cooperation and networks
Cooperations and networks are indispensable for science. At Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden- Rossendorf (HZDR) as well because they lay the foundation for successful research and make an important contribution to meeting the great challenges of our time. Alumni can now experience this scientifi c and social importance in an ongoing and practical way with the HZDRTrAIN project.
Prof. Dr. Sebastian M. Schmidt - Scientific Director
From 25-29 September 2023, 13 "excellent" international alumni were guests at the HZDR for a week for the second time to explore new collaborations with the research centre, to network and to further educate themselves on the topic of "how to network and cooperate properly". The programme for alumni included visits to laboratories and innovation projects, workshops and a wide range of activities to establish contacts with regional start-ups and spin-offs as well as the innovation ecosystem. All activities contributed to the development of an exclusive HZDR expert network that promoted exchange between alumni and scientists. By participating in the event, our alumni benefited from an excellent training programme in the field of technology transfer and cooperation management and access to a worldwide, interdisciplinary cooperation network. In addition to other benefits, our alumni also gained insights into current research and technology developments at the HZDR.
