Helmholtz Open Science Workshop “Access to and reuse of scientific software”
Topic
With the ongoing digitization of research and teaching, the number of software solutions developed at academic institutions to be used to process scientific data rises. The requirements of open accessibility and re-use of scientific results can only be ensured, if research data and program code are made openly accessible. Problems, challenges, solutions and recommendations on access to and reuse of scientific software will be discussed with reference to the following topics:

The workshop consists of lectures in plenary and theme-oriented, interactive sessions, where people discuss key topics and develop solutions.
The results of the workshop have been summarized and published in the form of a report:

Target Group
The workshop is aimed at people from the Helmholtz Association and from other non-university institutions and universities that deal with access to and reuse of scientific software. In particular, young scientists are invited to bring in their experiences around the handling of scientific software.
