HZDR Innovators School

HZDR Innovators School - a Helmholtz Transfer Academy

A lack of knowledge about transfer processes is one of the reasons why scientists are sceptical about knowledge and technology transfer. Yet the question is essential for every researcher: What am I researching for? What drives me and what do I want to achieve with it? By intensifying and systematically bundling qualification and awareness-raising offers, the Transfer Department would like to promote the transfer and entrepreneurship culture at the HZDR on a broad scale in the future.

The HZDR transfer team was successful with four applications submitted for the "Helmholtz Transfer Academies" call as part of the transfer campaign. Starting in 2023, the HZDR Innovators School will design qualification programmes that build on each other. These will be closely interlinked with the promotion of individual career paths.

The HZDR Innovators School is an HGF project that will be implemented 2023-2025 by the Technology Transfer & Innovation staff department together with the Human Resources department and the Postdoc Center HZDR-TUD and other partners such as dresden|exists, HighTech Startbahn, TransferAllianz and HZDR Innovation GmbH. The Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung in Leipzig, the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Deutsche GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam are involved in the HZDR Innovators School as an advisory board.

In this compact one-hour seminar, we provide initial basic knowledge about innovation and transfer processes. Where do innovations start? What is meant by patent first, publish later? Why does everyone make such a fuss about contracts? Our Innovation Manager Dorit Teichmann gives an overview and answers the most important questions that arise in scientific work in connection with transfer.

This seminar in English is only for HZDR employees. Participation is on site or online via zoom possible: https://events.hifis.net/e/tt-june-2023.
