Postdoc (m/f/d)

A member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, the HZDR employs about 1,200 people. The Center's focus is on interdisciplinary research in the areas energy, health and matter.

The Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research is engaged in Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research. Chemical, biological and physical working groups work together to increase the knowledge in the scopes of Molecular Imaging and Tumor Therapy.

As part of the Institute, the Department of Radioimmunology invites applications as Postdoc (m/f/d). The position will be available as soon as possible. The employment contract is limited to two years.

The ultimate goal of the project is to develop a bioelectronic platform for ultrasensitive monitoring of the cancer immunotherapy using nanosensor devices. As one of the workpackages involves the in vivo testing, therefore the wireless data transfer is envisioned. Experience in following disciplines: bioelectronics including fluidics, electronic circuits, wireless communication, programming, are highly welcome.

Tasks:

  • realization of both, molecular and cell based tests at the level of electronic measurement platform
  • design of the (bio-)electronic interface for data acquisition and signal processing

Requirements:

  • PhD with the background in electrical engineering, physics, (bio-) nanotechnology
  • micro and nanofabrication/Sensor development, design of the circuit
  • programming skills are very welcome
  • ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
