EXPERIMENTAL FACILITIES AT THE 2 MV VAN DE GRAAFF ACCELERATOR

Two beamlines are installed at the 2 MeV van de Graaff accelerator:

GONNY

GONNY consists of a large scattering chamber with  a computer-controlled  4- axis - goniometer for standard RBS and NRA analyses incl.  channeling. Samples can be introduced with a simple load lock system. The data acquisition accepts up to eight detectors simultanously. One detector is mounted on a precision  rotational stage and can be used for double alignement measurements.
Heating or cooling stages are not  provided at this goniometer.

GOLF

The second beamline is terminated with a standard 500 mm diam. scattering chamber.
An accurate, computer - controlled three-axis goniometer is utilized for channeling experiments and for He – ERDA of hydrogen.
