Support and Cooperation

Support

The federal Ministry of Education and Research(1) as well as the Saxon Ministry of Sciences and Art(2) have began to fund  the project after the approval of the "Wissenschaftsrat"(3) in 2003.

Thereupon the realization of the Dresden user laboratory for the generation of pulsed high magnetic fields at the site of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf immediately started with the construction of the laboratory, the workshop, the pulsed power supply, the design and construction of the coils, and the planning of the experimental equipment. The Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory (HLD) was completed in 2006 within time and budget plans. Since 2007, the HLD operates as a user facility.
