Center for Positron Emission Tomography
The PET Center Dresden-Rossendorf is jointly operated by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD).
Research is focused on preclinical and clinical molecular imaging of biochemical processes and is performed in collaboration with the Universitästsklinikum of the TU Dresden. The PET center comprises a Cyclotron, GMP approved radiopharmaceutical laboratories, two high-resolution PET-tomographs (ECAT EXACT HR+, microPET P4), a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system and a X-ray Computed Tomograph (CT) as well as a combined human PET/MR system (Ingenuity PET/MR).
The PET center is operated by the Department of Positron Emission Tomography (Head: Prof. Dr. Jörg van den Hoff) of the Institute of Radiopharmacy (Head: Prof. Dr. Jörg Steinbach) and the Klinik und Poliklinik für Nuklearmedizin der TUD (Head: Prof. Dr. med. J. Kotzerke).
