Training contents

  • preparing, carrying out and evaluating physical measurements and test series
  • handling various measuring devices
  • using specialized software for data evaluation
  • setting up, maintaining and servicing test equipment
  • carrying out calculations
  • analyzing materials

Requirements

  • good to very good performance in natural sciences and English
  • strong interest in technology, physics, mathematics and computer science
  • always precise and concentrated way of working
  • manual skills and patience
  • enjoy working with technical equipment and computer systems
  • reliability and independent work organization
  • motivation, a great sense of responsibility and problem-solving skills

School leaving certificate

  • very good secondary school certificate or good A-levels (with a focus on mathematics and science in advanced courses)

Duration of vocational training

  • 3.5 years (in case of top performance, a reduction to 3 years is possible)
