Data protection at the HZDR
Information for employees at the HZDR
HZDR and its employees come into contact with a large amount of personal data on a daily basis. Of course, this applies in particular to the areas of administration and IT, but senior staff, scientists and other employees are also affected by this and must therefore comply with the legal and internal regulations.
In order to meet the requirements, our external data protection officer Mr. Felix Lückert from the Dresden Institute for Data Protection and the internal data protection coordinator Mr. Thomas Drechsel with help and advice. However, they are dependent on your assistance in order to harmonize your knowledge of data protection with the knowledge of the responsible employees about the processes at the HZDR. They require information on data processing procedures in order to be able to act. Every employee is therefore obliged to involve our Data Protection Officer and the Data Protection Coordinator in relevant processes. If data protection is not relevant in individual cases, Mr. Lückert will inform you accordingly.
In order to make you as aware as possible of your data protection obligations, training (face-to-face or online training) will take place at regular intervals and depending on the respective area of work.
Mr. Lückert and Mr. Drechsel are available to all HZDR employees for data protection questions and concerns (dsb@hzdr.de).
