Some details about me
I was born 1964 in Camagüey, a small town in the west of Cuba. I attended primary and secondary school in Havanna, where I lived until 1982. My mother and my father both come from Ecuador and have lived in Cuba since 1963.I studied Physics at the University of Havanna for two years and went in the (former) German Democratic Republic (GDR) after that. I finished my Ph.D. in mathematical physics in 1989 at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. I returned to Cuba and worked in the faculty of physics at Havanna University for one and a half year. Since 1991, I have been living in Dresden, Germany and started working at the Department Magnetohydrodynamics in the Institute of Fluid Dynamics at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf in 1992.
