GeSiM - Gesellschaft für Silizium-Mikrosysteme mbH
In 1995, from the Forschungszentrum Dresden - Rossendorf (FZD) the GeSiM - Society for silicon microsystems mbH was hived off in Dresden Großerkmannsdorf, which focused on the development of microfluidic devices and nanoliter pipetting robotics. Fluidic chips and pipetting devices of GeSiM in biotech laboratories, for example for the manufacture of DNA arrays, as well as the production of allergy tests and protein chips. Since about two years, GeSiM belongs to the world's first providers of micro-contact printing devices for structuring surfaces within (sub-) micrometer range.
