21st SYMPOSIUM of AER on VVER Reactor Physics and Reactor Safety

The 21st Symposium of AER continues the series of annual meetings of the international association "Atomic Energy Research" on VVER reactor physics and safety research. The Symposium will be organized by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf.

Dates: September 19-23, 2011 Venue: art'otel Dresden Location: Dresden, Germany

The Symposium will take place from Monday, September 19, 2011 until Friday, September 23, 2011 at the art'otel near the baroque city center of Dresden.

This Symposium is open to participants from AER member organizations as well as from other institutions involved or interested in VVER reactor physics and safety research.

Social programme

The traditional Symposium dinner will take place on Wednesday, September 21, in the famous Dresden restaurant Festungsmauern am Brühlschen Garten, one of the most beautiful cellar restaurants in Dresden. Before the dinner, city guides in historical skirts and coats will show us the historical centre of Dresden during a 2-hour walk.

Hot! Additional social event

Probably everybody of you knows the famous Dresden Semperoper, one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world.

On Monday, September 19, there will be a performance of the opera “RUSALKA” by Antonín Dvořák in Czech language with German surtitles.
