Radiation Source ELBE

Scientists working in materials research today often aim at improving materials on the nano-scale. Therefore, they have to look into this nano-world, which can be done with the help of positrons, the anti-particles of electrons. They can visualize nano-defects and are generated at the radiation source ELBE of the HZDR.
