Ultra high-speed X-ray CT
Ultrafast electron beam X-ray computed tomography is a non-invasive measurement technique, which gives the phase fraction distribution in the cross section of transient two-phase flow with unique spatial and temporal resolution. Using the ROFEX scanners which were developed in our institute investigations at thermo hydraulic test facility TOPFLOW as well as different small scale experiments such as flow loops are feasable.
Description
ROFEX IThe ROFEX I scanner is applied at vertical test section DN 50 of the TOPFLOW facility for investigations on two-phase flows at boiling water reactor conditions. Beside using at TOPFLOW small scale flow loops can be scanned. ROFEX IIIWorking principle is same as ROFEX I, but ROFEX III scanner is dedicated to larger objects. Furthermore its construction gives an all-purpose measurement system which can be used for investigations on various objects and flow experiments. |
