Staff celebrate 5th anniversary

In a mood to celebrate HIF's 5th anniversary: the staff members from the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology and the neighboring UVR-FIA GmbH at a joint summer party.

On 25 August 2016 the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology saw its first staff summer party at its new headquarters in Freiberg. And there was another reason for celebration since it has been five years now that the Helmholtz Institute was founded back then on 29 August 2011.

The Freiberg staff were joined by their colleagues from HIF’s biotechnology and ion beam analytics groups, both based at the HZDR in Dresden-Rossendorf, as well as their partners of the neighboring UVR-FIA GmbH, a company specialized in mechanical process engineering and cooperating closely with the HIF in various research projects.

The Helmholtz Institute Freiberg currently has about 100 staff members, including 50 scientists and PhD students, originating from twelve countries.
