Visitenkarte Bruno Michaux

I work since January 2016 as PhD student on the influence of electrolytes on the flotation of sparingly soluble minerals, in particular fluorite. The purpose of this work is to provide a modelling approach to the well-known issue of fresh water use in the mineral industry and, in particular, the flotation response when the chemistry of the process water is subject to variations.

In September 2015, I completed my Master in Georesources Engineering at the University of Liège (ULg), University of Lorraine (ENSG), University of Luleå (LTU), and University of Freiberg (TUBAF) as part of the Erasmus Mundus EMerald program. I wrote my master thesis at the latter, studying the possibility to re-process tailings from a former Sn-W mine in Saxony, Germany.

Additionally to my research, I am responsible for the activities of Freiberg (TUBAF and HIF) related to the EMerald program since February 2016 as program co-coordinator.
