Welcome to LT94

Thank you for your interest in LT94. Here you find all relevant information about the experiment scheduled for October 18.-22. 2018 at MEC/LCLS (SLAC).

Register as a collaborator

To access the data, be member of the mailinglist and see the calendar, you have to member of the HZDR LT94 group.

How to register (non-HZDR people)
  • Non-HZDR people: register first as a collaborator, if not already done before (e.g. because you were a member of LN04).
    • You can check if you are already registered by trying to log on to the HZDR Owncloud: https://owncloud.hzdr.de. If you can log on AND see the "ocCNS_LT94" directory, you are registered.
    • If you are not yet registered, visit https://www.hzdr.de/registration
    • The website is in the style of the late 90's, consistant with its functionality
    • FIRST check if you can answer the human challenge (identify squares, triangles, circles). Sometimes a line occurs, which cannot easily be identified as any 2D form. In this case, reload the page
    • Fill in your details, select "LT94" as purpose for your registration.
    • Wait! Your account has to be approved manually by me, this can take a few hours. You will receive a notification when this is done and your account is ready to use.
How to register (HZDR internals)
  • HZDR people: contact me (t.kluge< replace with :@: >hzdr.de)

After the successfull registration and after being approved by one of the PIs, you are automatically member of the mailing list, have access to the data (via Owncloud) and run scripts on it via the HZDR jupyter python notebook service, and be able to view the calendar (via Owncloud) and read/edit the Wiki.

Wiki

A full featured Wiki will be available very shortly for registered colaborators. For now, please use this wiki.

Mailing list

If you want to be part of the mailing list but do NOT want to be more involved (calendar, data access etc.), please send a mail to t.kluge< replace with :@: >hzdr.de

Registration for Mailing-List, calendar and Owncloud storage of experiment data can be done online:

  • Non-HZDR people: To be part of the mailing list, register as a collaborator as described above (if not already done, e.g. because you were a member of LN04).
  • HZDR people: contact me (t.kluge< replace with :@: >hzdr.de)

Private Message to PIs: t.kluge< replace with :@: >hzdr.de and m.roedel< replace with :@: >hzdr.de

Data accessibility

To access the data, register first as a collaborator.

All experimental data will be directly stored in an Owncloud accessible storage (https://owncloud.hzdr.de). The directory "ocCNS_LT94" should be listed under "shared":

Helper1

You can reach it within the HZDR network in

  • \\cns\projects\hibef\data\beam times\LCLS\1810_lcls_mec_lt94 (Windows)

The HZDR network itself is accessible for registered people via ssh:

  • ssh [YourHZDRuserName]@uts.hzdr.de

Data evaluation and scripts

Data stored in the Owncloud can be analyzed with scripts in the Owncloud using the interactive Python shell service provided by HZDR (Jupyter Notebook). To gain access, contact one of the PIs: t.kluge< replace with :@: >hzdr.de and m.roedel< replace with :@: >hzdr.de

Code development is done on Github. To gain access, send your Github account name to one of the PIs.
