Seminar Series 'Hardware & Numerics'
The aim of the seminar
The aim of the seminar series 'Hardware & Numerics' is to connect all HZDR users of HPC and scientific calculations by means of a common scientific language which is the numerics. All simulations and data processings are based on a set of standard methods which are quite similar also for very different fields of applications. Furthermore most of the methods depend strongly on the architecture on which those calculations are intended to be implemented for. Therefore it is highly important to understand hardware architectures in order to be able to create optimized simulations.
First round of the seminar - Autumn 2020
