Survey of Interest – English Courses via Linguarama at HZDR – Starting in October 2026

This year, for the first time, we are planning to offer English courses starting in September 2026 in collaboration with Linguarama Spracheninstitut GmbH.

The courses will be tailored to the individual learning needs of the participants. Both job-related content—such as phone calls, meetings, presentations, or technical vocabulary—and general language topics can be incorporated.

A written and oral placement test will be administered before the course begins. Based on the results, appropriate learning groups will be formed, and the course content will be tailored to participants’ language proficiency levels and individual learning goals.

Important information at a glance:

• Levels A1, A2, B1, and B2
• Minimum number of participants per group: 8 people
• Offered in-person or online
• 15 sessions in total, with 3 45-minute class periods once a week (45 class hours total)
  Course times:
  - Option 1: 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. or
  - Option 2: 3:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
• Course period: September 2026 through January 2027
• Reimbursement: HZDR employees who attend at least 80% of the training days will be reimbursed 75% of the course fees.
• Participant fee per course: 8 participants: €225.00 / 9 participants: €200.00 / 10 participants: €180.00
• Counted as work time: The entire duration of the course counts as work time.
• Prerequisite: Before the course begins, you must obtain your supervisor’s approval confirming that your participation is in the HZDR’s professional interest.
