The HLD as a user facility
Every year, about a hundred international user groups come to the Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory (HLD) to investigate new materials using various analytical methods. During these experiments, they are supported by specialized scientists of the HLD. This user operation is coordinated jointly with high-field laboratories in the Netherlands and France through the umbrella organization of the "European Magnetic Field Laboratory" (EMFL). The EMFL enables scientists from all over the world to work together on key technologies to solve current societal challenges, for example in decarbonization or new concepts in computer sciences.
