Title | The sun is currently approaching a maximum activity in the 11-year “Schwabe cycle” again, here a Solar Orbiter image from October 2023. |

Description | The Sun. The image was taken by Solar Orbiter’s Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) instrument in October 2023, revealing the Sun’s upper atmosphere. Since EUI views the Sun in ultraviolet light, which is invisible to human eyes, the yellow colour is added to help us visualise our changing Sun. |
