CIS - Center of Interface Studies

The Center of Interface Studies (CIS) has set itself the goal of advancing interface research through interdisciplinary collaboration. Founded by three institutes of the HZDR, it integrates different methods and expertise to develop a comprehensive understanding of interface phenomena. The center specializes in high-resolution measurements of interfacial processes and aims to drive technological progress, for example in the improvement of resource technologies. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and outstanding expertise, the center also serves as a platform for cooperation with external partners in the field of interfacial research.
