Dear colleagues,

Over the past few months, our three research areas – Health, Energy, and Matter – have undergone intensive reviews. Even though the final results are still pending, our work is receiving excellent reviews. We have made significant improvements in all areas. We can rightly be extremely proud of this tremendous success, which your expertise, dedication, and passion for excellent research have made possible.

The reviews were accompanied with considerable challenges: be it tight schedules, detailed requirements or the high demands on our performance. It is all the more worthy of recognition that we mastered the process together. We were particularly impressed by the interdisciplinary cooperation across departments. It makes a significant contribution to ensuring that our research is perceived as a strong entity.

It has been shown again: Our multidisciplinary research is not a burden, but a feature – it distinguishes the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and gives us a unique position in the scientific landscape.

We would like to express our special thanks to the organizers from the Support Staff, the Institutes, the Central Departments, the Administration as well as all other aides who worked hard to ensure that the evaluations ran smoothly. We would also like to thank the external experts. Their valuable support helped us to present the programs in the best possible light.

Let us now continue on this successful path together with renewed strength.
