The Penck Hotel is the most artistic conference hotel in Dresden! A. R. Penck (1939-2017), born in Dresden, has been one of the most outstanding painters of post-war art since the 1960s. His works are represented in the most important museums worldwide, including the New York Museum of Modern Art. Over 700 original works can be found throughout the hotel. Penck himself created the majority of the exhibited works for the hotel.

The Penck Hotel Dresden is centrally located in Dresden’s city centre. The historic Old Town with sights such as the Zwinger, Semper Opera House, Palace and Frauenkirche can be reached in just 5 minutes on foot.

The conference hotel can be conveniently reached by local train (S-Bahn, station "Bahnhof Mitte"). Participants arriving at Dresden Airport (DRS) can conveniently reach the hotel via the Dresden S-Bahn, with a travel time of approximately 20 minutes from the airport.

Accommodation

Dresden offers a wide variety of hotel accommodation in all categories. Many of the hotels are located in the vicinity of the conference venue in the city centre of Dresden and are easily accessible by public transportation or even within walking distance.

Information about the hotel tax in Dresden

A hotel tax will be charged in all hotels and hostels of Dresden.

The lodging tax depends on the amount spent on the individual overnight stay in the accommodation (including VAT). The lodging tax is six percent of the amount owed for the individual overnight stay, rounded to full euro cents. The lodging tax must be paid in the accommodation establishment no later than the last day of the stay, generally upon departure.

Please bear in mind that the operator of your accommodation is obliged to collect the lodging tax from you.

With the booking a contract between the participant and Penck Hotel is concluded.

Each guest is a customer in the sense of the General Terms and Conditions of the Penck Hotel Dresden and is liable for the rooms reserved but not used at the agreed gross room rate.

The rooms reserved from the contingent can be cancelled and changed free of charge until 9 days prior to arrival. In case of cancellation/reduction after this deadline or no-show, the hotel is entitled to charge cancellation fees in the amount of 90% of the agreed room rate.
