PhD Postion on Axial/Chiral Nonlinear Phononics

Topic: Follow-up project of our recent publication in Nature Physics (see also Nat. Phys. COVER):

Employ axial or chiral phonons to control angular momentum flow among phonons and to their coupled degrees of freedom.

Duration: Fully funded, 1st year at FHI Berlin, 2nd-3rd year at HZDR, entirely enrolled at TU Dresden

Requirements: Candidates should have a strong background in at least one of the areas:

Solid state physics, coherent phonons, ultrafast laser science, THz science, quantum materials, ultrafast magnetism, pump-probe experiments.
