The funding measure
The EGARoh funding measure is part of the BMFTR funding strategy "Research for Sustainable Development" (FONA). EGARoh stands for "New approaches for the exploration, extraction, and processing of primary raw materials in the context of national and European cooperation". The initiative addresses key issues relating to sustainable, resilient, and resource-efficient raw material supply - in particular, the development and implementation of innovative raw material technologies.
Our Projects
With several research projects and a co-coordinator role in the accompanying project Connect, we are very actively involved in the funding program. The projects combine our expertise in technology and process development in the areas of raw material exploration and characterization, as well as in processing and metallurgy.
All projects share an interdisciplinary approach and close cooperation with partners from science and industry and, depending on the project, also with international partners. This way, we contribute to both basic research and the development of practical solutions. The HIF is involved in the following projects:
