On August 31, 2026, Dresden’s Neumarkt in front of the Frauenkirche will be transformed into one long table for people to meet and mingle. From 4 to 8 p.m., thousands will gather for the “Dresden is(s)t bunt” banquet to share food from around the world, engage in conversation, and celebrate Dresden’s diversity and open-minded spirit. HZDR will once again be part of the event this year.
Now in its 10th year, “Dresden is(s)t bunt” welcomes numerous associations, initiatives, and institutions from the fields of science, culture, and business, as well as people from across the city. Around 200 organizations from Dresden will take part in this year’s festivities in the heart of the city.
We warmly invite everyone to stop by the HZDR table in the middle section of the long banquet table between 4 and 8 p.m. Over food and drinks, visitors can chat with HZDR employees, learn more about the research conducted at the center, and enjoy a colorful program of music and cultural performances.
Note for HZDR employees: Would you like to do more than just stop by? Feel free to bring a specialty from your home country or a favorite dish to share and join us at the HZDR table. Simply come along and take part – we look forward to seeing you!
