• PhD mentoring committees in accordance to the rules of the Helmholtz Association (Promotionskomitee), additional mentor from the MEMRIOX network, this is without prejudice to the right to confer doctorates of the associated universities
• Annual PhD workshop with expert tutorials and presentations by the PhD students
• Soft skill training modules
  • Presentation techniques (held Sept 2012)
  • Scientific writing (held Sept 2014)
  • Project management, carrier planning (held Sept 2013)
• Annual PhD Midterm Meeting (2013, 2014)
• Structured study courses at home universities
• Short proposal contest (Call MEMRIOX-INNO2013⁽¹⁾ launched 07 May 2013, Deadline 15 July 2013)
• Internship at industry partners (start Aug/Sept 2013), e.g.
  • Toppan Photomasks Germany GmbH
  • GLOBALFOUNDRIES Inc.
  • Infineon Technologies AG
  • Saxray GmbH
• Detailed work schedules, including oral and written reports before mile stones and project mid term and final review
