Modulation of tumor microenvironment

In solid tumors, an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) complicates the immunotherapy of malignant diseases. Under such conditions, tumor cells are often found to have an upregulation of inhibitory molecules ("checkpoints"). Moreover, cells such as cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) play a crucial role in promoting tumor growth, invasion and metastasis . In order to better understand and overcome the  immunosuppressive TME, we aim to analyze, target and modulate the TME using our antibody- and cellular UniCAR/ RevCAR-based technologies.Foto: TME ©Copyright: Dr. Nicole Berndt
