Rhenium- and technetium complexes of the "supernitrido" type [M(N)(PNP)(X-Y)] bearing functionalized dithiol ligands. A versatile approach for the labelling of biomolecules

Neutral nitrido M(V) heterocomplexes of the type [M[N)(PNP)(S-S)] (M=⁹⁹Tc, Re, ^99mTc; PNP=diphosphinoamine; S-S=dithiolate) have been prepared and fully characterised at macroscopic as well as nca levels. Chirality introduced at the dithiolate framework by insertion of a carboxylic group induces the formation of syn- and anti- diastereoisomers.
