Public transportation

Tickets can be bought at the ticket machines at most tram stations, or inside the tram. Also the bus driver sells tickets, but prefers to get the money counted!

From the stations Stauffenberg Allee, Pirnaischer Platz and Walpurgisstraße one can use a ticket called Kurzstrecke, which is available only as a block ticket for four journeys. The cost is EUR 4,50. With this ticket, you are allowed to travel up to the fourth stop. From Mommsenstraße and Nürnberger Platz you need a normal ticket called Preisstufe 1 which costs EUR 1,80. There is also a block ticket available for 4 journeys which costs EUR 6,50.
