Data Management Day 2023
The HZDR Data Management Day 2023 took place on Tuesday, 21 November from 13:00 to 17:30 in the large lecture hall (106/255) and via live stream (Mattermost channel for questions and discussion). Against the background of advancing digitalisation and the ever-increasing need for reproducibility, the focus was on the data management landscape at the HZDR.
In more than ten lectures and presentations, our colleagues provided insights into the challenges of data management and their solutions. The presentations provided an overview of the most important tools and services available to scientists at the HZDR as well as a deeper insight into topics such as electronic laboratory documentation and workflows. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss these topics further during the coffee breaks.
Agenda
The event was divided into two sessions. During the breaks between the sessions, it was possible to talk to speakers and colleagues. In addition, the contact pages of all speakers were linked so that they could be contacted after the event. The slides were also made available after the event!
Session 1 — 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM
In the first session, participants were first given an overview of the data management landscape at HZDR and saw a series of presentations on working with HELIPORT as a data lifecycle and metadata management service. The session also covered data publishing via ROBIS/RODARE and the development of an access statistics dashboard for RODARE.
