Strategy and Programs

The Staff Department Strategy and Programs (FSSP) supports the Board of Directors and the institutes of the HZDR in the development, elaboration, formulation and implementation of strategies and strategic initiatives in various contexts and at different levels. The department also acts as an interface to the Helmholtz Association's Head Office and Research Fields. On behalf of the Board of Directors, it supports and coordinates all activities of the HZDR within the framework of the Program-oriented Funding (PoF) as well as strategic initiatives of the Association and the research infrastructures within the framework of the Helmholtz Roadmap and its procedures.

Portfolio of Tasks

The tasks of the department essentially comprise the areas of strategy, Helmholtz Association and Program-oriented Funding (PoF), reports and science-adequate controlling as well as research infrastructures (RI), furthermore the founding of new institutes and scientific platforms as well as scientific quality management (in preparation).
