Center for Positron Emission Tomography
The PET center Dresden-Rossendorf (PET-Center) is jointly operated by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD).
Research is focused on preclinical and clinical molecular imaging of biochemical processes and is performed in collaboration with the University Hospital of the Technical University Dresden. At the research site Rossendorf, a dedicated cyclotron as well as GMP production laboratories are contributing to the PET center. At the University Hospital Dresden, two high resolution PET systems, Biograph PET/CT (Siemens) as well as Ingenuity-TF PET/MR (Philips) are installed and used for patient studies.
The PET center is operated by the following partners:
- Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research (Director: Prof. Dr. Klaus Kopka)
- Department of Positron Emission Tomography (Head: Prof. Dr. Anja Braune)
- Clinic and Policlinic for Nuclear Medicine (Director: Prof. Dr. med. J. Kotzerke)
